la naissance de l'amour

La naissance de l'amour, Philippe Garrel, Fr., 1993

one of the best by one of the best. i don't know if this is the one that marked Garrel turn to 'more conventional' narrative (what an odd thing to say of Philippe...), but it strikes as a mature piece of work where cinematographic virtuosism intrudes less in the narrative, a bit as Godard in "L'élogé de l'amour", without making it a lesser film than "Elle a passé tant heures sous les sunlights" (clip) or "L'enfant secret".
